AND IN CONCLUSION....The Pothole Series!

As I set down at the keyboard today, I wanted to take this moment to say that there are many potholes in our journey of life's highway that can mangle our plans, interrupt our journey and even change our destination.

I know my wife mentioned that in her readings the other day during her quiet time, she had encountered another pothole...the pothole of injustice and as we discussed what that author had to say about the injustice that holds so many back from moving on, I realized that I probably just scraped the surface when it comes to the potholes that can wreck our lives. In fact, you might have one or two that you would like to share. If so, reach out to me at wpq815@ gmail.com with your stories of the trials and tribulations that have been wrought by the potholes you have encountered...and know this, you are NOT ALONE...no matter what pothole you have struck, God is bigger than your circumstances and He can get you up and running and back in the race that we call LIFE!

In the meantime, let me share a poem I wrote many years ago when we were in the midst of our 5 year old daughter's battle with cancer. It brought great comfort to me then and it was part of a number of my poems that were used by Carpentree in a special line of framed art work and poetry. In fact, it was part of the reason that my wife and I formed our little Christian publishing company and began to frame and sell my poetry as a way to minister to those that had hit a pothole and needed a bit of encouragement....I pray that it will touch you the way it touched me when I wrote it....

IN THE PALM OF HIS HANDS

When life's full of disappointments
And no one seems to care,
Just lift your eyes toward heaven;
See the Savior waiting there.

To lift your heavy burdens;
To help you bear life's load,
Just place your trust in Jesus
As you travel down life's road.

So no matter what you're feeling...
Be it sorrow, joy or pain;
Just cast on Him your earthly woes
And heaven you will gain.

For in life's travels you might find
Just one pair of footprints in the sand.
Remember then, He carried you in the
Palm of His loving hands.
